DIRECTIONS TO TAMARACK LODGE MOTEL
Directions from Sacramento/San Francisco Area:
Take Highway 80 East towards Reno. When you get close to Truckee take the exit for “Highway 89 South/ Squaw Valley/Tahoe City”. This exit will put you on Highway 89 heading south towards Tahoe City. Follow Highway 89 all the way to Tahoe City, (approx. 14 miles). When you get to Tahoe City you will come to the only traffic light in town. The traffic light is in front of the Savemart Supermarket. At the traffic light you want to GO STRAIGHT. You are now on Highway 28, also called North Lake Blvd. From the traffic light you will drive approximately 1.5 more miles, this will take you through town and a short distance out of town. Tamarack Lodge is on the left side of the highway.
Directions from Reno Airport (RNO):
Take Highway 395 North to Highway 80. Take Highway 80 West. Just past Truckee take the exit for “Highway 89/ Squaw Valley/Tahoe City”. This exit will put you on Highway 89 heading for Tahoe City. From Southern California
Take 395 North to Carson City. Take Hwy 50 West over Spooner Summit. As you come down Spooner Summit take Hwy 28 North. Follow Highway 28 through Incline Village and Kings Beach, (we are about 9 miles past Kings Beach). PLEASE NOTE: Hwy 28 is also called North Lake Blvd. We are approximately 1 mile past the Dollar Hill area, you will pass an old Shell Station and 7-Eleven Store. Our driveway is just around the curve from the Coast Guard sign and the 45MPH sign on the right side of the road. There is a second driveway, if you miss the first driveway. If you get into Tahoe City you’ve gone too far. We are 1 mile before Tahoe City.
